About Us
What Madness Productions, LLC is an independent video production company located in
St. Louis, Missouri. Founded in September of 2002, What Madness serves as a vehicle
for the creative endeavors of Matt Davids and Justin Buchanan.
In 2002, we started by making several short films. The Grave
premiered at the St. Louis filmmakers showcase in 2003. Other shorts include
The Chase, More Eyes than Mine, and The Slackers who Saved the World.
Starting in 2004, we began the adventure of shooting several feature films. The first, Forever Cursed
won First Place Action feature at the Indie Gathering. The second,
Ezra Crane was shot in
October of 2006, and was completed in May 2008.
In 2009, Matt left St. Louis for a two year commitment to do mission work in Port-au-Prince Haiti. Matt survived the earthquake on January 12, 2010, briefly returned to St. Louis and returned to Haiti later in the spring. After meeting local actors and filmmakers in Haiti, Matt decided to begin a new feature film on location in Port-au-Prince. KRAZE is currently in production in Haiti with Justin assisting back in St. Louis. KRAZE will be in Creole with English subtitles.
